Consul und Zippo: vereint unter einem Dach für höchste Qualität und Innovation im Bereich Hebebühnen

Ten years ago, Consul Workshop Equipment GmbH took over the Offenburg lifting platform manufacturer Zippo Lifts GmbH.

Now both companies are merging and Consul Workshop Equipment GmbH is taking over the business of Zippo Lifts.

Lifts under the Zippo label will no longer be available in the future. However, nothing changes for customers, because all known Zippo lifts are included in Consul’s Z-Line product line.

The Consul products are sold in the overall range under the C-Line.

Consul expects this merger to better establish the high quality standards of both companies in the market with the two product lines. Through the joint marketing of the C-Line and Z-Line product lines with the existing global sales teams and the now expanded service partners, the Consul brand name will achieve even greater recognition in the long term.

In addition, the opportunities for in-house training and further education in the training center built in 2002 will be exploited even more effectively if training courses for both product lines can be bundled. Consul Workshop Equipment GmbH, which is 100% family-owned, also sees great opportunities in merging with Zippo Lifts GmbH to further increase its usual high quality standards.

In addition to the certification according to DIN ISO 9001, which has existed since 1994, Consul acquired certification for environmental and occupational health (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series) according to ISO 14001 and 18001 in 2015.

In addition, Consul received permission from TÜV Nord to bear the Made in Germany seal. Consul is certain that both lines will benefit from the certification acquired in 2015 and the seal of quality and a certified proof of origin.

With the Made in Germany certification, Consul has TÜV Nord confirm that its product value chain from procurement to production is maintained in Germany.

Consul is therefore the first from the workshop equipment industry to obtain this proof and underlines the preservation of the production location in Germany. Long-term assurance of high quality standards and long-term safety of use of the products with permanent technical innovation was and is the success strategy at Consul and so the merger of Consul Workshop Equipment GmbH and Zippo Lifts GmbH is a logical step in this direction.
